I wish now I am now on the beach sipping margarita”, “I wish I don’t need to work”, “I wish I’m like you living free and easy”, how many of us wish to live someone else’s life or envy others for achieving their dream life. 

We come out with all sorts of excuses, “Life is not as simple as it is”, “Oh, I can’t stop work, I have commitment to pay”, “I’m not like you”.

The boiling question is: Are you willing to do what it takes? 

Here are 3 simple steps to start creating your dream life.

Chart your path

Most of us don’t know what is most important or what we really want. Now is the time to journal it down: how your dream day/week/month/life is. Answer the 5W1H: how, when, why, where, what, who.Next, evaluate if this is what you really want at this point of time. We might have changed later on but as on today, now, is this what you really want?

 Letting Go

Since we know what we really want, it is time to look at what we need to let go. Be mindful of some values we hold on or block us from getting what we want. Sometimes we hold it dearly without realizing it has impacted our life. Eg. “My parents work their ass off 24/7, I don’t deserve to live my dream, I am trained to be workaholic” or “It is too hard to achieve that”, “ I don’t have the resources”. List down every single belief/block/excuse you can come out with.

Get the ball rolling!

Now that you know what you want and things that have been blocking you. It is time to get your ass moving. Start taking action. The boiling question: Are you willing to do what it takes? Get a vision board to remind you of your dream life. Things are not going to smooth sailing all the time. There is probably some resistance, don’t just stop there, get inspired, push through the resistance and keep building momentum by staying in action!
